There is something rather interesting about the use of a masculine/feminine name for the opposite gender. A friend of mine is determined to name his first daughter James. Also, Sant' Angelo di Roma is pretty "flowery" so I can easily see that being a feminine name, especially for a pet. There is just something about pets that let you name them strange and wonderful things without it being obviously weird.
