    Peanut butter is used a lot by bodybuilders to bulk up; I'd stay away from it if you want to drop weight.

    And losing weight should be as simple as eating better and cutting out most sugars and junk foods. If you exercise you pretty much have to do some form of resistance training or you're going to lose muscle. Your body likes to get rid of muscle before it gets rid of its precious fat deposits.

    EDIT: Another reason I would stay away from counting calories burned during exercise, a lot of people tend to overestimate the amount of calories they actually burned and "reward" themselves with sweets or snacks.
