This isn't a "smurf the FA Cup I never wanted to win it anyway " sour grapes post, because I did want to win and the result genuinely hurt me, but I do feel I have a legitimate question here.

Why is winning the FA Cup considered to be better than winning the League Cup? The HISTORIC PRESTIGE BBC MATCH OF THE DAY BLOP BLOO crap doesn't count, I mean as a purely footballing achievement. It is literally the exact same teams in an almost identical format. Yes I appreciate there are non-league teams in the FA Cup too, but despite the ~*ROMANCE OF THE CUP*~ or what have you they achieve smurf all every year and it hardly makes it more of a challenge. Heck, if anything the League Cup is harder to win because it has a tricky two-legged tie for the Semi.
