Duke Nukem Forever - Game now released

Well, not in America yet, but elsewhere. So, has anyone bought it? Played it? What do you think?

I discovered I'd won a £20 Amazon voucher today so purchased DNF this morning and hopefully will get lucky and have my free 2-3 day delivery turn up tomorrow like it often does. But yeah, this is a game that I've looked at in magazines and on the 'net for 14 years... even if it's crap, I'll probably still enjoy it on the basis of playing a piece of gaming history.

It's kind of disappointing to know that a large amount of the gaming population are too young to understand the brevity of what is happening.

I've heard that it's a pretty mediocre game that could have, ironically, used some more development time for some polish, and all the gameplay videos I've seen seem to confirm the same.

Disappointing, but oh well. Maybe one of you will have a positive experience and reaffirm my belief in humanity.

Perhaps as expected, all the game play I've been seeing makes the game look like clunky trash. Not a big surprise for a game that was in thirteen years of development hell, but disappointing nonetheless. I've heard that it's at least humorously self-referential in the way that you'd expect a Duke game to be, but the game play, level design, and everything else leave a lot to be desired.
