Granted, it's not the original. The plane never saw a tour of duty in Europe. Only one B-17 left has. This plane was an airframe built right near the end of 1945. Still, it's from a period in time very close to the original and was redone well.

I think we know the reaction. Some would agree, some would be indifferent, and some would be offended. Obvious enough.

I'm not trying to be a buzzkill, but this is even worse news. So far, not a great week for aviation.
