    Default Paradigms

I started playing FFXIII an am now in chapter 6 (I think O.o) and I have been making a list of all the paradigms (if I spelt that right) and there is ALOT of them. I was wondering which ones people use. Some of them seem good in theory but I don't actually want to use them.

I mostly use Commando-Ravager to start the chain thingy (cant remember what its called) and then go to ravager-ravager to fill it and back to commando-ravager once it has been filled, occasionally switching to commando-medic or ravager-medic to heal. I havnt had access to 3 characters in a while but when i did I did commando-ravager-medic pretty much consistantly.

For most of the game when I had three people I used Relentless Assault almost exclusively (COM RAV RAV), and only changed to one involving a Medic when needed. But as you progress the enemies get harder and a SEN is helpful, so I used SEN COM RAV to start the battles and swithced to Relentless Assault once something was staggered.

I think COM RAV MED is a balanced setup that could probably get you through most battles, but the battles will be long. The game seems to favor specialist paradigms and frequent switching over a consistent balanced paradigm.

Later in the game I liked to start boss fights with Sab Sen Syn then to Rav Com Med and then into com Rav Rav/ Com Com Rav.

Random battles usually started with relentless assault.

It's always good to have 2 healers in a paradigm later on in the game just as backup.

For what it's worth, there is a full listing of the various Paradigms at EoFF, here...

    Paradigms - Final Fantasy XIII - FF13

My favourites varied as I changed them often depending on who I was fighting. By far the most frequently used would end up being...

Relentless Assault (COM/RAV/RAV) is easily the most commonly used one. Decimates most enemies just by the constant tapping of the X button.
Aggression (COM/COM/RAV) once an enemy is staggered. This keeps them up in the air for as long as possible, causing maximum damage without receiving any back.
Diversity (COM/RAV/MED) for when I need a quick heal.
Solidarity (COM/SEN/MED) and Combat Clinic (MED/SEN/MED) are the most common ones I use for emergency situations when facing enemies that require a Sentinel.
Tri-disastor (RAV/RAV/RAV) combined with Salvation (MED/MED/MED) provide quick destruction & quick healing for when you need to rely on speed to finish off a battle.

Others tend to only really get used for boss battles, and that's when you have to get a little more tactical, so things such as All For One, Hero's Charge, Bully, Thaumaturgy and Dirty Fighting etc. can come into play.

I always use Relentless Assault. Depending on the enemies. If their strong I will need 1 medic. Synergist and commando/ravager.
