So they say several times that when a l'Cie is crystalized, they're dead.

So I think everything after Serah is crystalized is just a fantasy taking place in her dying mind.

Out of curiosity, where do they say this? Given that the entire events leading up to Serah being turned to cyrstal happened purely because two people were released from their crystal state, this would not make sense.
