You're 3D did what exactly? Oh wait, I forgot, you're games are 3D models (mostly ugly) on a 2D platform and mostly play like a 2D game to begin with. Thank god 3D came and just changed everything...
My game had a Yeti, a prudish samurai, a badass ninja, a moogle, and a treasure hunter. You're game had an emo jackass, two emotionally dependant chicks with terribly fashion sense, a Yuffie Rip-off, and an Edgar rip-off who can't shoot when he's under pressure.
Not to mention, VI fans don't have to argue about whether an ill-conceived character is actually another character with cryptic Da Vinci Code style clues hidden throughout the game to tell the "real story". You just go back to your thread and continue discussing why R=U.
