Dancing Chocobo City Building General Thread

MILF and I play an abnormal amount of SimCity 4. It's one of those game series that I still love even after nearly two decades of playing, and I still get addicted to these games from time to time even today!

Any other SimCity/city building game fans out there? :3 Let's talk and share screenshots!

I'd be especially interesting in hearing from anyone who plays the Anno series!

SimCity 4 is amazing. I wish I still had my huge city

I tried Cities XL. It's... interesting?

I love city-building games. I remember CivCity: Rome. That game was awesome. I wanted them to make one for like, Axum, and other little-known megatropolises, but I was disappointed.

And I want SimCity 4. So bad.

I really like Sim games, though I haven't played any in a long time. I was tempted to buy Cities XL cheap on Steam once, but for some reason opted out of it, still not sure if that was the right thing to do.

The Settlers 7 looks pretty good too.

I've been approving a lot of city building APPS on Fb. Samurai Dynasty is the one I frequent most then Evony. Technically, Gardens of Time is a Hidden Object game with elements of city building.

So is CivCity basically a cross between SimCity and Civ? Because if pulled off well that sounds incredibly sexy.

Also, you need to acquire SimCity 4.

    Pretty much. It rocks.

And I should. I should acquire it.

    >not playing SimCity 4

We need more city builders in here! Is it seriously that niche of a game these days? :o Do we at least have some people in here who remember playing SimCity 2000?

SimCity 2000 is my favorite SimCity game, only because it was easier to enable cheat codes and build an epic city. It's a little bit tougher with SimCity 4, though, but I can manage a city, but having to do several around the same time to create a mega epic empire of cities is tougher than it looks. :P

Apparently, I have been declared banished.

I'm okay at making a decent city in SimCity 4, but I have this terrible disease that compels me to start a new city once I get close to playing, oh... about an hour with one single city. So I don't ever get past 30,000 population or so...

I've been playing lots of Cities XL 2011
It got some getting used to but, once I did ther's many many many features I like that aren't in the Sim City games.

Bert, tell me more about that! Everything I've seen suggests it's pretty sub-par.

I would also like to know, since it's on sale at Steam.
