No benefits as there's no interaction between the forks until everyone is done. Terra's is the shortest and Sabin's is the longest.
Ah, cool. I swear I read something about it affecting something else somewhere... I think it was actually on the walkthrough on EoFF itself, actually. xD I can't view it at work, though, so I'll just go with whatever when I play it on the bus on the way home.
