I'm so confused right now. But I liked the history, so...there's that.

Got DF working using that Lazy Newbie thing last night and had a pretty good run. Before I knew it, I had 40 dwarves and was suffering 0 attacks, so I think I need to spend a bit more time in a more difficult area or something. But yeah, one thing I need to get the hang of now is the new military setup because it's extremely lacking in anything that resembles "user-friendly".
Bow before the mighty Javoo!
yeah, I still don't understand military AT ALL. Looks like my year will be known as The Year of Marick.
Also, I want to be a doctor.
I don't think you really need to do anything. IIRC last time we did this we had new people playing it and it was funny to see what happened when they bumbled around with the settlement not knowing what the shiet was going on. I guess if you want to take part without ruining it you can just have a dwarf named after you, but ruining by not knowing what you're doing is infinitely more amusing
If that's how it works then I'll sign myself up.
Yeah the more of a clustersmurf Paul has to clean up the better tbh.
I would sign up to Mayor for a year but I'm an incredibly slow, boring DF player and I guarantee you nothing of interest would happen.
Also I cba.
I'm just confused as to what my input is. What am I supposed to do exactly? EXACTLY.
Huxley, you'd be good as a kinda mid clustersmurf bounce, too much clustersmurfing could lead to a premature end of the fortress. I think you ought to come in at least for a year.
I need to get some more practice in big time, I won't go second I know enough about coping with the fortress problems to try and keep it running in the middle of a clustersmurf but hell going second right after Paul sets up an awesome fortress is just piling pressure on me. Unless Paul wants me to go second so I can help continue expanding the fortress to full size?
I want to be a comedian.
Comedians make for good miners and soldiers. Purely on the basic rule of "if you don't have a labour specialty, you're a miner or a soldier."
Also, I hate the new fey mood thing. I never have enough crap on my test game to allow for the dwarf to get everything he needs, and if you don't get it done, it's guaranteed suicide. In my game, Booker (Record Keeper) and RSL (Legendary Carpenter/Woodcutter) both fasted themselves until they died because I didn't have enough bones, cloth and leather. I had no idea they suicide until I read up on it after RSL did the same thing Booker did (which I thought was a bug - I had no idea Booker was in a strange mood earlier). I need to get a couple of hunters to slaughter crap and get cloth, leather and bones for me. =|
Bow before the mighty Javoo!
time for me to stop procrastinating the getting some practice in and to get some damn practice in!
I am willing to screw up a year on the behalf of the team. Now let me see if running the most recent build is going to cause any problems...
Also, got a dwarf with some generic name? No longer because I just volunteered to be named. I would like to die an ambitious death instead of having gone insane.
