I haven't made steak in awhile since we have a Juliet balcony that isn't wide enough to have a grillLast time I tried to just broil the steak and we found out that our fire alarm is apparently too sensitive so we're not doing that again
If it's a good cut of steak, usually a dry rub is all you need. If you want to do a marinade, you could always try it with olive oil, red wine, garlic, coarse salt, fresh ground black pepper, and thyme/oregano/rosemary if you want...and I'm asian so I like to marinade everything in soy sauce :-P

And this is the steak I broiled...perfectly medium rare on the inside and really yummy but the fire alarm was not happy lol.
