Imagine - John Lennon with Lyrics - YouTube
HOW I ASK, HOW HAS THIS SONG NOT BEEN MENTIONED!!!!
I don't like that song much. Lyrically, it's smurfing stupid. Musically, it's just an okay sounding song. That's why.
Yup.
On a note that nobody here will ever support:
Britney Spears - ...Baby One More Time - YouTube
(SPOILER)Sadly, seriously, I love this song. The rise of Brit was not a mistake. She is legendary!
I'm going to say something. I will likely be killed for it, but it needs to be said....
Metal is stupid and downright unlistenable.
There I said it, let me live.
Oh, and *defriends DD*
As a complete aside:
Just so we're all clear, Billie Jean is the best Michael Jackson song.
See what you did there, Laddy? What you did there is you took an entire genre of music, and subsequently made a large generalisation. Bad Laddy. That's not how it works!
John Lennon probably died because some poor man who had just been fired turned on the radio, and heard some bellend telling him how he should 'imagine no possessions' and about 'Sharing all the world', at which point he stole a gun and kindly granted him his wish, meaning Lennon wouldn't have to jump around countries for tax purposes anymore.

I could never pick a favourite song. I couldn't even pick a favourite album or artist. Top 10, maybe, but certainly nothing fewer.
However I can tell you that I love a little bit of the Manic Street Preachers and Your Love Alone Is Not Enough is probably my favourite.
I used to hate this song because it depressed me but I kind of like it now: Cat Stevens - (Remember the Days of the) Old School Yard
And this last one has a story to go along with it. In preschool we had a "show and tell" where we had to sing our favourite song. So a bunch of 4 year olds sang their favourite nursery rhymes. Then long haired and adorable four-year-old Dak gets up and sings this. Much of the point is... lost on me, we'll say, but doesn't make it any less of a powerful song.
And here, as a bonus prize, another song I remember from my childhood.
I will honestly admit that one of my favourite songs is Journey, Don't Stop Belivin' I was gutted when Glee did their cover version, it killed me a little on the inside.
