Friendship *is* magic.
Is it possible for different colored foxes to have mates?
This will help me with something fictional, say a red and a white for example. Also if it is possible, do the kits randomly take a color from one of them (say, using the example some of the white, some of them red) or do they become a combination? Advice apreciated.

You'd have to research if the different fur colors are dominant or recessive. Then create a matrix to roughly calculate for a given litter of pups how many would be what color, and if any would "blend."
At least that's what we did in biology years ago. It's not spot on accurate, but it'll probably suit your needs.

Scroll down past the minks and read
also, try not to throw up at the idea of farming furs.

Did you know if you fathered a few generations of fox and specifically bred for tameness, the fox color will disappear and they will look more and more like domesticated dogs?
