I kind of want to say how men in general are perceived to have poor taste or no taste at all. Far too often do I see phrases like "I need a woman's opinion" as if opinions on certain matters are invalidated by the fact that they come from a man.
That's not really something directly about males though, so let's say what bothers me is the loud obnoxious masses of men who enable such generalisation. Oh, and the much too widespread inability to admit you're wrong or don't know, apologise, etc.
Meeting guys for the first time is something I tend to not look forward to. Especially if it's something like a double date or whatever, and Danielle is all "Oh, he's a Manchester United fan, too! You'll have so much to talk about!" =| I mean, I can talk about sports a lot, I know this. But if I meet a guy and all he talks about it sports, we have effectively gained no friendship whatsoever - it's like talking on sports call-in shows. You don't become friends with the presenter by calling in. You talk about sports. That's it. And I like talking about sports with my mates, but I like being able to talk about other things as well.
But, back to the original point - meeting guys for the first time. I find that the first time I meet guys, if they aren't laid back then they're dicks. There is a buttload of guys out there that are simply incapable of trying to show how much of an alpha male they think they are, or something. It's kind of pathetic. And then there is the polar opposite, the guy who is timid and has no inclination towards socialising whatsoever. Trying to find that happy medium where a guy is capable of actually talking about life, music, TV, video games or basically anything is a difficult thing. Luckily, when you find them, it's great and you can talk endlessly about whatever. And get teased by our partners about how we're boyfriends because we are guys that can talk about something besides sport. =|

I lost a friendship recently because she took both of these things to like, the furthest extreme possible. long depressing storyOne year she was giving blowjobs behind a couch at a party (not even like a crazy party either, just a small sleep over with kids ranging from age 13-17), and the next she meets this guy at an anime convention, who I think was there just to prey on young girls with low self esteem. Once she meets this guy, she declares she's no longer bisexual and she's no longer going to do slutty things, she loves this guy forever and now she's somebody. We were just like "okay your obsessing is annoying, but your life is improving so cool." Then he gets locked up in a mental hospital of some sort for assaulting his parents for a year. After he gets out, she calls one of our friends crying because he made her delete her facebook. Then she starts flaking out on plans. Then she says, she's not going to see us anymore ever because she doesn't want to associate herself with anyone that isn't her boyfriend. So yeah, big, glaring, red flags. Eventually we stop trying to reach out to her because she threatened to stab our friends that live in her neighborhood, simply for passing by her house (which they have to do in order to get to their own homes). Apparently her dad, who also fathered Shannon Gaga, loves this guy. They're married now and have a child. Last I heard she attempted to violently stab her mother in front of the CPS workers evaluating her, which sucks for her mom I guess, but hopefully this means her baby will go to a better home.
The gossip, drama, back-stabbing, jealousy, hatefulness, two-faced girls. I would say I have a few close girl friends...only the ones I feel I can truly trust. Others are just girls who are friends of friends or acquaintances or "in the group". I tend not to get that close to girls I get a bad vibe from because I used to be in a very gossipy and drama-filled group and it never ends well.I also used to date pretty bad guys in college and obsessed over the relationships and what I was doing wrong...it was pretty emotionally abusive...good thing that phase is over

I hate stubborn, pigheaded, know-it-all-guys.
Why? Because they usually start stupidly "IT'S LIKE THAT AND IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN AND WILL BE" they can never be reasoned with and/or it is so hard to discuss about anything. They're so scared they might get proven wrong and they start insulting you, get violent, all that stuff. Just so that they wouldn't lose their face. (I'm a know-it-all type, but I like to discuss and I actually enjoy it if someone proves me wrong)
Call it bad luck but out of 10 men I'd talk with on the streets here. Probably just 1 or 2 can discuss politely.
"I'm a total rebel, I don't need to follow any rules, I'll have fun where I want to." I've seen many of these, caused a lot of trouble in school. They waste so much time on acting jackass rather than just shutting up for 5 minutes.
Then there are those who can't get enough of body building. I've had few fights with guys who raise like 120kg from the ground. Yea, it's soooooooo awesome...
Where as I raise like 40kg several times and I'm happy with it. They want to fight because they go around "I so strong *kisses own muscle*". And they pick fights with weaker opponents because they think they win. Still they lose because they don't bother with the techniques. It's all about how much you raise. Not about wits.
And not to mention those ego blasters. Bashing in to the party, "YEAAA!!! PARTY TIME!!!" *slappin' every gal's arses while passing through and thinking they own the place. And don't just get it when a girl is someone else's already. Or refuses to accompany him.
Testosterone over reason. Meh...
Maybe it's just about where I live. But that's how all the guys I've seen so far have been. Only my friends are different from that.
