so im from the carolinas and i have a thick southern accent. well out here in phoenix everyone and there grand mother seems to find it necessary to make a comment on how i talk rather it be an "awh i love the way you talk " or an " i cant understand you what are you saying" im getting tired of people talking about the way i talk

I used to harass some South Carolina kid about the way he talked.
At first, it was kinda fun. Eventually, we became bitter rivals and when the time came for us to depart from each other's company, it was on rather nasty terms.

All in all, I suppose I wish I never did it, but then I would never have had the experience.
Life is full of situations where you never know if you've received a blessing or a curse.

Do you sound like a central or coastal south Carolinian? My mama jeanne (grandma) has a real thick accent. Mine is from wnc but it's not real thick unless i'm angry or drunk.
