You may want to consult one of the guides on GameFAQs.com for Final Fantasy X-2 if you plan on going for a complete game for the Perfect Ending. It can be easy to miss small details that can compromise your entire playthrough.

All progress in any mission is lost when you start a new game plus.
You will keep all of your dresspheres, AP earned, accessories, garment grids etc, so the next play through will be much easier.
