    Default Great Quake

Anyone else on the East Coast feel that earthquake right now? Apparently it originated in Virginia.
So, tell me your earthquake stories, EoFF! That was the first quake I ever felt in my life. And the weird thing is I JUST left Virginia two days ago.

Yeah man, I felt it. A lot of shaking and jostling around, but nothing too extreme. After looking around the house, just a few things broke, or more like just one vase fell from the cabinet drawers, Other than that, nothing really. Heard it was a 5.9 on the Richter scale. It did wake me up from my nap.

It woke all of my friends up too. My mirror almost fell Dx it's just weird that D.C. had such a big earthquake, it's unusual.

Yeah, I saw a post on facebook from people from Vermont, New York, and Georgia saying something like "uhhh was that an earthquake just now?" Apparently there was one of about the same strength in Colorado last night. That's weird! I hope a tidal wave doesn't hit just because it skipped over me!

Earthquakes are a common thing in California though, so we don't go through them as often as you west coasters. Though, I do agree we're pansy about them. I remember a 3.9 earthquake a few years ago, and we were all "Omg, earthquake!?" and it was really nothing. This recent one was a little more powerful, but still nothing devastating to worry about. Just take a look at the damage it caused!

I've felt one earthquake ever in my life, and it was a tiny one. I'm disappointed.

Oh so there really was an earthquake!? I thought my teacher was kidding with us when she told us. Me and this girl was in the computer lab when it happened. The flimsy tiles on the ceilings were wobbling. I thought maybe someone was doing some work on the building. When it happened the second time the girl next to me said "Ok, I really want to know what that is" and I was like "What the hell is that?" She looked out the window and thought it might've been the wind. I looked out and didn't see much wind. We were confused.

I live in Virginia, within 60-80 or so miles of the epicenter, and I felt next to nothing. Some people standing up (this was just before class) felt something, but without their comments I may not have even noticed.

I was going to go to Virginia for vacay this week. Good thing I didn't, but I still felt the quake over here anyway. It was very small and brief, but still enough to shake my bed and a few other things in my room. It was hardly scary since my ceiling didn't collapse thankfully.

Thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by the quake and the east coast. I know how hard it can be to recover from a tragedy such as being awakened in a nap.

5.9? That's pansy trout. I still remember the Easter earthquake. I thought I had gotten drunk way too quickly and that it was just me.
