He speaks like retired Navy from the mid-west. I wouldn't say he sounds anything like the Deep South. Besides, rednecks aren't rocket scientists.

Well actually, now there's a show on the National Geographic channel called The Rocket City Rednecks.

That show and I have very different definitions for the word redneck.
