Beat FF1. Onward to FF2!![]()
Good luck, most people reach FFII and decide a marathon playthrough is a bad idea.
True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe. Maybe this year will be better than the last. I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself. To hold on to these moments as they pass...
This one will be slow going because not only am I probably going to be working more hours as the holidays pick up, but I'll also be doing NaNoWriMo. So I might not finish in a timely manner. I am hellbent on finishing eventually, though!![]()
Hey, so my brother has been doing this same exact thing. You should check out his blog:

I would love to do something like this someday but I don't know if I can get past the early games. Maybe if I play the PSP versions of I & II.

Jeremy and I were really far into FFII when we decided to skip it -- and III as well. That's how annoyed we were.
There are some enemies in the Mysidian Cave that can petrify your entire party IN ONE GO. It happened to us so many times that we became fed up; so, lately, we've been playing a little FFIV every night instead. We're playing the original Super Famicom version (I got a really good deal on eBay for FFIV, FFIV: Easy Type, FFV, and FFVI Super Famicom carts).
BUMP with an update.
I beat Final Fantasy 2 today. Loved every second of it. It was so much better than I was expecting. The last couple of dungeons were so challenging and so freaking glorious. I also surprised myself by getting kind of attached to the characters.
I'll jump into FF3 tonight or tomorrow!![]()
Glad to hear you liked it Pike, so many people don't. The furthest I made it in one of these marathons is I-VII skipping III because I didn't have it at the time. FFVIII seemed so huge after all of that I just couldn't fathom continuing. I also realized at that point that I wasn't actually enjoying myself.
I don't think I could handle doing the PS1 titles by themselves back to back at this point. It would really take some amazing determination and patience to go I-XIII.
Gathering some momentum here Pike. ONWARDS!
