It is so cute to read this after re-visiting our back and forth over Final Fantasy XII a couple of years ago, have you come around to my side at last !

I agree with you about Sazh; Squenix knocked on the door of doing something really revolutionary and groundbreaking, but didn't have the stones to see it all the way through.

I'm not sure if I would say I've come over to your side, I still feel that FFXII is the last good numbered FF title in the bunch, but I will say that if FFXIII has done anything, its made me appreciate FFX more. While I still consider FFX to be a weak FF title, it is simply due to being a mediocre experience. FFXIII is probably one of the worst games I've ever played, its not just bad for an FF, I actually feel its just an awful game in general and easily one of the worst games I've ever had the misfortune of playing. Yet, probably the biggest problem with XIII is that it did have some major potential in both its premise and some of its gameplay mechanics, but in every category, I felt they not only dropped the ball, they slammed it so hard it came back and smacked them in the face.
