fn+F12 is firebug. It probably used to be Expose or osmething before I disabled that trout
fn+F12 on my lappy is skip track.
My computer is backward. The button F12 is on is skip track, but if you want to press F12 you have to hold the function key wtf.
I took a risk today too. I decided to put gel in my hair, and it worked out I think!

For me, it's strange. The media playing controls (F7-F9) and the Brightness controls (F1, F2) and the volume controls (F10-F12) are all very important, but I hardly ever use F3 (exposé), f4 (umm. no idea what that even does. Time machine, or the dashboard or something? It appears to be disabled.) or f5-f6 (keyboard backlighting controls), so if those actually had some useful function assigned to them, I'd rather not have to press Fn.
I do think that more keys need Fns assigned to them, since the button is just right there. Typing Alt+letter famously does alternative characters, and there's no reason why Fn couldn't do the same thing.
I like how I still haven't figured out what "Fn" is.
