SE's apparently got plans for the World Ends With You

When asked if Neku's cameo in KH3D meant SE might be making a sequel to TWEWY, Nomura simply said that something is coming that is connected to this underrated DS classic.

I hope so, cause this is easily the best original IP SE released this past decade and its a shame it kind of went and disappeared.

I never played The World Ends With You. What does the cameo entail? Is it merely a small appearance in a Kingdom Hearts title or does the character play a small role in the story of the game like Setzer or Seifer?

It has not been stated but apparently Nomura has confirmed that Neku isn't the only cameo from the game. I believe Shiki is a safe bet cause apparently that is who Neku is looking for when he meets Sora. At most, I'm guessing it might be like the FF Coliseum cameos in previous KH games. Probably relegated to one world but enough of a presence to be notable.

Apparently, the game is going to feature an actual Reaper's Game in Traverse Town, with Sora and Neku partnering up for it. The TGS 2011 trailer shows a scene where Neku shows Sora the clock on his hand and talks about needing a partner for the "Game".

The World Ends With You is and excellent game with an interesting story and awesome battle mechanics. I approve of any future plans of making further use of the property.
