EoFF Karaoke.

But this time it'll be a little different. A little more competitive.
Sign up below to participate. When it looks like we're gonna have sufficient participation I'll post up the structure of the event. If only a couple of people are gonna participate it'll be a free-for-all.
Remember, the point of this event isn't about skill level, it's about what uniqueness you bring to the table. The best karaoke isn't always the one where you think "Why isn't this person famous?!" it's the ones with the highest entertainment value.

Okay! Here's the format and rules for EoFF Karaoke!
Round 1: Player's Choice
You can sing any song your little heart desires as long as the lyrics are more or less work safe. Swear filter exists for a reason, so if you drop an F-bomb or two a la You Oughta Know by Alanis Morrissette, that's okay. If you roll up in my PM box with Straight Outta Compton by NWA your submission will not be accepted. It's an awesome song and the karaoke version would be amazing so if you want to send it to me as a present, that's great.
There will be no eliminations in the player's choice round. This round is for funsies.
Round 2: foa screws you
In round 2 I'll be selecting songs for each of the contestants. I'm going to base this on one part your previous choice, one part your abilities and one part whimsy. Expect genre crossing. Expect country western music. Expect all sorts of fun.
In this round lame participants are invited to drop out so the real competitors can get on with being badasses. We will make fun of you, mercilessly.
In this round elimination will begin. Basically we'll set up a poll and the 2-4 players (depending on whether or not anyone drops out) with the least amount of votes will not go on to the next round. Which will be...
Round 3: Duets
During round 3 I will assign partners or trios. It's up to you to figure out the most creative way to sing together. Maybe you record a Y!M voicechat session, maybe you make a music video. Be creative.
You will be allowed to sing your own songs for this round. Two duets or trios will be eliminated, pollster style.
Round 4: Killer Karaoke Classics
The remaining players will be assigned to sing karaoke classics that will be revealed in-thread. This will be a head to head competition between the top two or three players from the entire event. The karaoke champion will be crowned based on member votes and will receive a prize from foa! What is the prize? This is the prize!
Here are some basic rules:
1) You have to be the person singing.
2) You can use any background music you like, you can even play your own, or you can just go a capella.
3) You can upload your own songs, send them to me and I'll upload them, or use vocaroo.com.
4) DO NOT POST SUBMISSIONS IN THREAD. If you want you can post random songs and other fun records, but don't post your final song selection and don't post your final version of karaoke.
5) Be creative, be entertaining. Make this worth it!
All submissions for round 1 should be sent to me no later than Tuesday 12 noon EST.
