I bought the boots, unitard and a speedo for the undies because no way in hell was I sewing spandex. A friend made the belt buckle which is just attached to a belt I had on backwards. But the cape I did make from scratch myself (and is the only thing I've ever sewed aside from a pencil case in 7th grade. The hammer and sickle I cut out of thin foam by hand and glued to fabric which I attached to the chest with small velcro strips to let it move a bit when I moved so it wouldn't just peel off. It was quite a fun experience. And though its hard to tell in spandex, I spent the summer working out to get ready for that Halloween and dropped about 30 lbs while adding 10-15 lbs of muscle.

FOA, move to New Brunswick and we can be nerds together. I'll introduce you to all of the other nerds too.

It occurs to me that I haven't posted a picture on the forum before as far as I know, and I figured since Noodle posted a pic of him drumming I'd show some solidarity with my drumming brother. Mind you, these pics are old as hell. Probably 6 years since I didn't have the entire kit in these, so I was much younger and skinnier back then.

Yeah, had to switch to traditional maybe 7-8 years ago because of some tendinitis. It was either that or stop playing. Loved it so much I've never switched back.
