I think the golden age for me was Vice City and III. I could spend forever playing those.

Saw the new trailer. Thirst thoughts: back to San Andreas where the series lost it's vibe. As I've said before, as long as they don't go back to the mob vibe of the earlier games and drop the whole one-man-army stuff I'm not interested.

Edit: also quite disappointed in Rockstar for not trying anywhere new. They play it safe, hoping to cling on to a certain target group by itching a nostalgia nerve. Why not Tokyo? Beijing? Hong Kong? Dubai? The more I think about what they're trying to pull off here, the lower my hopes get.
