I did my half of kaligee song. I sent it pgdesu and kept badgering her to sing
I message laddy and asked him to do marvin gaye's part, because he sang the lead and I just have to time my babbling after him
we're all busy bees and I'm on vacation next week

Someone sent me a PM asking how to do this and I replied with my thoughts the moment I read it some time back and since then, I've only got one more PM just now saying something like "C'mon, let's do this!" without saying actually what they want me to do. =| Hopefully, though, someone can confirm what it is we're doing and then I can act accordingly...

I did! Singing a duet with someone at the other end of the world is shockingly not as simple as "Oh, just record it on the one file." You have to plan out who sings what part, record them seperately and them have the files edited together. Recording on Skype/over the phone leads to a one or two second delay on most occasions and I've tried singing songs over the phone like that and it does not work if you want to sing at the same time! But yeah, when someone tells me how we're doing it, I'll do it.

It would be so much cooler if someone (not me) paid for us to all meet up so we could record this together. *nod*

Okay I'll just make this public -

Laddy - for our song, sing Marvin Gaye's part. You're better than me at singing, his part is more interesting, and I need YOUR song to get the timing for my accompaniment.

BoB - I have no idea what to do for our song since I don't know which is Aretha Franklin and I don't even know who Annie Lennox be. So pick one of them and sing it.

You just sing your part. Time with a video (link me the video if it's different than the one foaffles posted) so that I can listen to it. I will sing my part and then tweak the timing so we are *almost* in sync. Sing it in vocaroo or send me a mp3/wav/jpg. it's all good.

btw I am going on vacation. I leave Saturday. PANIC
