The cast thing really bothers me, I really enjoyed the cast in FFXIII and I actually liked that they split up the party frequently in the early chapters because it gave the character development so much more impact (no one cares about the character who's brought to the brink of suicide unless you've used him to fight your way through some tough situations and let him grow on you).
I agree! And it made it that much more awesome when I finally had them all together.
