Yes. Not having a numpad is definitely a setback unless you are an avid Unix user. I actually bought a portable USB numpad so that I could play NetHack on my net book. Don't you have an old keyboard laying around somewhere?
I don't have a numpad. But I am going to see what all this everything is about.
EDIT: So far a rock fell on my head and I can't get out of this room. Also I have a kitten.

If you can't find any obvious exits, you may have to (S)earch multiple times around suspicious walls or ends of hallways to find hidden passages and doors.

Necro, you have convinced me to give this a try, though I might not be able to play very much until after New Year's. Also my laptop doesn't have a numpad, so I will first have to dig around to find a USB keyboard.

Dude, experience and dungeon level 6. Not bad at all. You're getting very close to Sokoban which is really commendable considering you've played only ten games. Stay away from those fountains, and try a sturdier class!
I may or may not have had someone (*cough*Jeremy*cough*) nudging me toward playing this again, so here I am. I might pop in from time to time with laughable screenshots of smurfups. :P
