Scorching, you say? I was just in Peru two weeks ago and Chile less than a week ago. It wasn't any hotter than here in Texas.
I mean, it's cold for most of us who are used to 95/105 degrees, but it's still pretty warm compared to anywhere that there's snow. I think today was about 55 or so. I love the sun, and I can't stand the cold, so it's jacket weather for me. But I could go without. Hell, I just jogged over 4 miles with nothing but track pants and a t-shirt on and it's 43 outside right now. I don't have a heater or anything either, so I'm just sitting by the computer snuggling with my new gf in my new robe.
Change is good.

There may or may not be snow, however. Our snow usually doesn't show up in earnest until midway through January and then it goes through early May.

White Christmases are nice and all, but I've really gotten over the desire for them since I was a kid. Now it's just a little exasperating when it does snow, because I live far enough south that it usually doesn't snow very much, and when it does all of the old people have no idea how to drive in the snow and end up driving 20 mph under the speed limit if there's any bit of white on the road. smurfing old people.

Except this year. This year, it's not snowing yet. It makes me want snow -- because it is pretty to look at, when there isn't a tit ton of it. Also I like to sit on my porch and watch the snow fall under the streetlights.
