What Video Game Music are you listening to now?

Basically the same as the "what are you listening to now?" thread in The Lounge, except this one is with video game music only!

I'll kick it off with a remix of an eerie song from Link's Awakening.



I know this would technically go in the Video Game Music forum, but that's been done and with minor success. Let's consider this an experiment and keep it in General Gaming for the time being!

Not directly from a video game, but the OC medley "Golden Ivories of Gaia" has been on my current playlist for the last week or so. I'd almost forgotten how much I enjoyed this album until this particular track came on shuffle. Between the gentle piano of this, the brilliantly anthemic "Ahead On Our Rave", and the rocking "The Crossroads", I don't know why I haven't listened to it more.

I have a fairly large playlist with the entire OST of every game I've ever played. It's got 52gb of midis, 554gb of mp3s, 12gb of oggs, and about 1.3tb of remixes/covers/stuff not extracted directly from the games. I also have about 300gb of stuff from games I haven't played yet. Once I play a game and beat it, I move the music from my NYP (not yet played) folder into its designated space in my VG Music folder. It's categorized by company (Nintendo, Sony, Atari, Sega, etc.) and then by console. I have it at full volume nearly 24/7 when I'm at home, unless we're watching tv or something. The playlist also has about 2tb of non-video game music, but it's surprising how rarely the shuffle lands on anything outside of the vgm folder. Right now I'm listening to the final battle theme from MegaMan 3, and before that it was Scars of Time (from the opening of Chrono Cross) and before that it was a Wizards and Warriors medley. Oh, and just now it landed on Fighting Spirits, the battle theme from LUNAR SSSC. Yesterday it landed on three songs in a row from different Katamari games. It was fun.
