Is it worth it?
NO. As simple as that I'm afraid.

Last I saw, it was supposed to hit late 2012. The PS3 version is supposed to come out at the same time.

the release date for PS3 is not happening till 2013 :/

Beta testing for PS3 version from Oct - Dec 2012. Retail release expected for Jan 2013 - whenever SE decides to release it.
