but I never log off.

While you may never log off, if you go inactive for a while the database takes you off of the people online, I know this as I also have my computer on and firefox open (with several pages open one of which will be EoFF) all the time and while I am at work I like to look at the forums every so often and use my work computer to come here, but it always seems as though the me at home is not online.

If you're idle for a half hour or twenty minutes or something it removes you from the Now Online list, even if you never log out.
