Ah, this brings up a valid point. I write as a hobby, too. Well not so much as a hobby. It's actually a lot of hard work and I hate it most of the time. But it seems to be one of those rare things that I'm good at, so I'm hoping I can turn it into something larger.

You should Skype with any random people. I, for example, like to be so disgusting on Skype with my friends that it makes even my most disgusting friend speechless. It's really fun. It's more fun when he has someone over and I introduce him to the disgustingness.

My hobbies consist of music composition, guitar, keyboard, drawing, 3D modelling / sculpting, character animation, photography, video games, cooking, working out, running, and I just recently got in to writing. I've been lucky in that a few of those are what I do for my job, and a lot of them are about personal growth.

However, the worst thing is I get overwhelmed with so many interests I have that I find it hard to keep up with them all. I've been working on trying to cut down my hobbies and gain more focus in the things I really love.

I always get a sense of motivation when thinking about something creative I could do, so start there. Find anything you could possible imagine you'd like in being creative, and go invest the time and/or money in getting good at it (short courses, workshops, lessons, etc.).
