You are now in charge of constructing an army of 300 FFT units to go up against large enemy forces of similar size and unknown composition. You will not control the exact set up & equipment of the units, you can only expect a generalized unit of the type. No calculators, no special jobs (including dark knights)

Oh, and show your work.

20 Archers
10 Ninjas
30 Priests
30 Wizards
30 Chemists

I'm not familiar with the classes of FFT but I would say you need a nice strong offensive line with some smaller but good support. 1/3 straight up combat, 1/3 ranged/ combat+something/buffers and 1/3 healing.

Bards would be so ridiculously overpowered for this. I'd like to see 299 bards and 1 Squire just to watch one invulnerable Squire kick ass.

Ok, maybe 290 Bards and 9 Knights and 1 Squire -- 9 Knights to guard the Bards, and the other Squire to kick ass.

Or 300 Dancers. 300 x the dance that deals a piddly amount of damage = a lot of damage to everyone.
And you would have been owned by the all dancer army.
