She's not a rapper, and she's not a flavour of the moment, her debut record (still brilliant as well) came out almost seven years ago!

I used to like a little of her music, but I think it's funny that she was a kinda pro-revolution music figure, and here she is with Niki Minaj at the event which epitomizes American consumption in probably one of the most ridiculously extravagant half-time shows in its history. Throwing up a bird just seems... sad?

Though it's still better than watching Iggy Pop in car insurance adverts.

YOU HONESTLY THINK THAT MAKING A RUDE GESTURE LIKE THAT ON LIVE NATIONAL TELEVISION IS ACCEPTABLE?!?!?!?!?!

Seriously, there are no more "family values" on television anymore, and it sickens me.
    Is that your final answer?

Eh, it happens Super. Non-issue in my viewpoint, if you're dead set on looking at it from a family values standpoint it's a far cry better than most of the the trout on television. I'd say pick your battles/thread topics and get over a rapper flipping the bird on live tv.

Because I'm one hell of a butler.

"Family values" is a crock of trout. Just like morality or immorality - they are completely subjective.

Taking a quick glance at that, I don't really notice the finger, and apparently many others haven't either. Read this and you'll see that several people didn't even notice the finger until NBC's apology. Though, I do think she should at least apologize for her action.

Apparently, I have been declared banished.

It aired during a game where 200+ lb men manhandle each other for hours. I think people can stand seeing an upright finger.

The concept of family values is based off an ideology that was an illusion to begin with.

If one lets a simple hand gesture turn their world upside down, then they have either lived too simple of a life, or are trying to look for ways to get offended to justify some sort of misguided crusade.

I'm of the popular opinion 'who gives a smurf stop going out of your way to be offended'.

She's an idiot, you're an idiot for claiming offence. It's not even worth a smurfing paragraph.

PS: A middle aged women dresses like a middle aged hooker and dry humps dancers and you're put out by a finger. Interesting

I wanted to make a humourous post but then I realised I have no opinion on this 'issue'.
    Kefka's coming, look intimidating!
    Have a nice day!!
