Shame they couldn't get everything into one game, but them's the breaks. I still think the majority of FF endings are balls anyway, so I'm not that bothered by it. I'm now one trophy short of Platinum (Giant's Fist) so I'll get that done tonight and then be done with the game from my end, too!

I have to concede I actually enjoyed the monster hunting.

I must of just got lucky because I got the 7777 on my first trip to Serendipity after playing the slot machine for maybe five minutes. I didn't even know I had it until I was looking up the fragments I had left to get and I already had it.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the game thoroughly. I just expected more for getting all those damn fragments.

Got Platinum. That's the end of this game for me until the DLC kicks in.

Yomi was the hardest fight for me. I don't actually remember how I beat it. May have just been the old level up and then smash it technique.

Yomi? Here's what the guide has to say... I'm guessing I used something similar to it.

Pack: Bunkerbeast SEN L30 / Dendrobium SAB L90, Yakshini SYN L45
    Deck (Serah/Noel/Monster): SAB/SYN/SAB, MED/SYN/SAB, SAB/SAB/SAB, MED/MED/SYN (Convalescence-W), COM/COM/SYN, SEN/SEN/SEN
Weapons: If you can get the ones that increase ATB charge by 50% (dropped by Immortal) then you should be good to go. Alternatively, use Romulus/Remus.

    Tactics
    - Get Vigilance/Protect/Shell/Veil sorted on the whole party, one member at a time. The buffs last longer this way. Alternate between Espionage and Evened Odds paradigms to speed this up. You should finish buffing halfway through the first Impenetrable Aura. After ever Impenetrable Aura, go to Infiltration and cast poison as this is what will do most of the damage throughout the fight.
    - Once poison is sorted out - usually after Deshell/Curse - shift to Convalescence-W to heal up during Impenetrable Aura.
    - Yomi will eventually buff with Protect and Faith. Once it has Faith, go to Tortoise for each Wind Shear attack ASAP or basically you'll die.
    - Sadly Yomi will do that Putrescence attack a lot and it removes the most recent two buffs. Keep Bravery/Faith up if only to ensure they are the first two buffs to go - the other buffs are more important and having Bravery/Faith as a "first line defence system" of sorts will ensure that Vigilance/Protect/Shell never (or at leastly rarely) go away.
    - Yakshini and Denbrobium have good Feral Link attacks for this fight.

i've been doing something similar but poison rarely ends up sticking early on in his non-impenetrable mode
i guess i'll try later once i have bravery/faith synergists

You're right that it rarely sticks, but you just have to keep putting it back on. It's the way to beat him. Slowly.

did it last night, and all i can say is i love the bunkerbeast
it's my fave new monster pet, it helped me with caius vs serah and now with yomi
he'll be there with me when i fight raspatil

all i need to do now is get the bestiary finished up and hit that stupid 100 consecutive great battle entries for the trophy and it's smooth sailing for platinum

yeah ugh what a crap secret ending
it's on par with the other paradox endings

    anyway finally have platinum
im not sure if i feel better about myself now or what haha
it was a fun game though

Just finished this today! My first Platinum trophy xD I don't understand how some people claim 100+ hours on this. I finished EVERYTHING in 75 hours and 3 minutes, lol. Main game was roughly 50 for me. The only thing I didn't do was obtain every monster crystal, which in my opinion is really unnecessary (def unnecessary for the trophy) unless you're really anal about completion.

Toughest one for me was the beastiary. Thought I had got EVERY monster. Then realized I didn't have the woodwraith category. So then I have to go to Academia 500 and play that entire part over. Ugh.
