I think I've tried them before. I've definitely heard of them, anyway.

They sound like something that would give your throat a mild electric shock. Or at least a sensation like getting a large quantity of that fizzy popping candy stuff stuck in the back of your throat not far down enough to swallow but too far down to bring back up. The name "Altoids" just gives me that impression for some reason.
