Oh gees I remember seeing this. It looked amazing at the time and still looks amazing. I wish this came to fruitation! Also after seeing the concept art I am greatly disappointed that Square has not done anything with this. It's just simply breathtaking.

It's interesting, and I really would like to see an HD game in the FFXII universe, but I have doubts it would have been any good. GRIN was an overhyped developer who was one of the first to get a current-gen game right but produced a series of commercial and critical bombs after that, which is why they subsequently went under. I'm also not sold on the idea of letting a Western dev toy around with Final Fantasy, although I would like to see at least one attempt at this.

Looks like a potential for chocobo mounted combat, which is pretty exciting! Maybe they'll try and include that in future installments that actually do get finished.
