Honestly, knowing Les is by himself and actually living in that situation, not to mention the fact that he confers much more practical advice in pretty much every episode of Survivorman has always made the show much more entertaining to me, and certainly far more fascinating. I liked Man vs. Wild as much as the next guy, but Les had the better show by far.

Maybe I'm biased though because quite frankly, anyone who can live in the woods for a year in Northern Ontario, simply by living off the land as pioneers did, and manage to do it with his wife without one of them killing the other or being eaten by a bear or charged to death by a moose is an absolute badass. And anyone who disagrees can spend a Canadian winter living in the woods. I'd say good luck to such a person, but statistically speaking I should probably just make a memorial donation in their name instead.
