The 3DS is garbagehat might be nice but I would prefer it for regular ds or VITA

Just because it is on the 3DS doesn't mean it has to use 3D effects. I think that would be a colossal waste of time on SE's part.

It appears to be a plausible business model, relying on micro transactions to fund everything.
