All FFs on sale on PS Store

Hey all, I just noticed that every FF on the PS Store is on sale for 30% off (50 if you have PS Plus, but who even has that). I picked up FFT for 6.99 last night because it's the only one I don't own (and haven't finished ).

Re-cap: FF Origins, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, Tactics, War of the Lions, and FFIV Complete for $7 each!

That might just be worth me doing my next playthrough of 5 & 6 on the PS1 version.

I know what you mean because a few years ago I did my playthroughs of the 16-bit titles on GBA, but FFV and VI on PS1 suuuuuck. I mean, if you have no other options, they are perfectly playable and fun and I totally recommend them and all that. But if you can manage to play the SNES FFVI or the GBA FFV just don't bother throwing down the cash on PSN.

I have quite a bit of preference to playing games on a TV as opposed to a portable game console, so that basically leaves emulation or PS. That and I don't think I have ever owned a legitimate copy of FF6 in any format.

I know that War of the Lions is not and I don't think FF4:Complete is either.

Damn, I guess I'll have to settle for the PS1 version which I hear is inferior. How does Origins stack up?

FFT was the best game ever made even before WotL came out, so I don't think you have to worry too much.
As far as I know Origins is the most faithful to the original in terms of difficulty. All the other iterations have been made much easier. (And much more balanced and fair)

I think I'll pass on this one. The deal is nice, but I already have a billion copies/versions of almost all these games. If not, I have at least one copy in working condition.

Yeahhhh I wrote an article on this like 3 days ago. Took them forever to promote it. It makes me mad that I don't have a PS3 or PSP to be able to buy anything. Damn microsoft holding my soul for ransom. :/

The only thing inferior about the PS1 version is the translation. Which is admittedly comical.
