Where the hell has Jiro been all day?

Well, I don't know if he would be able to show up on time, so I'm cutting his time off now because it's been more than enough and usually he's been pretty reliable with his time. So this is strike three for Team Awesome! Sorry, but that's that!

Edit: Jiro asked me in #eoff about his answer had I decided not to cut him off short.

I disagree with giving Jiro's team the strike now. You are not shaving off just 5 or 10 minutes, but almost two hours, and with no notice that you'd be doing so. That is plenty of time for Jiro to still log in.

EDIT: and, in fact, Jiro turned up in this thread with over 1.5 hours to spare.

I just want to throw this out there: 3:10 to Yuma. Since most of the people here are young and probably wouldn't guess an older movie. Put I'll trust whatever Paul chooses.

That's not a bad point, given that the Crowe version is remake of an old western of it anyway. However, since most people are young, that's why there are 18 votes for Wild Wild West and 5 of GBU. I would expect the rest of the points to be real, proper and quite old westerns... but we'll see

To be fair, The Magnificent Seven is like my favourite western film. I said Willd Wild West because I figured nobody else would. Whoops

My suggestion would be Back to the Future Part III, due to the tie in with the thread title and it has nerd appeal.

Or you could go with a classic such as Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Unforgiven, Tombstone, or Blazing Saddles.

Or a newer movie like True Grit (which is actually also an older movie so it has double power).

I leave it to Psychotic.

EDIT: Thinking about it, Butch Cassidy is a pretty well known movie so it would be a good choice. Though Magnificent Seven is also well known.

I think there's about 2 hours left for the steal attempt. If my Long Lost Cousins don't come up with an answer, I will use "3:10 to Yuma" as your team's answer to use for the steal.

The 12 hours are about up, and no official answer from the team leader, so I'll have to go with the team's first guess of "3:10 to Yuma" which was guessed by fierytempest.

... Sometimes the best thing to do is not to rely on the team captain to answer if you believe one of your guesses might be the answer. Since Agent Proto's Long Lost Cousins wanted to rely on Psychotic to answer for them, it backfired on them because he failed to show up to answer. So that leaves me having to use the first thing used, which happens to be 3:10 to Yuma, which unfortunately is NOT on the board! Sorry, but the steal is not a success!

Team Awesome manages to keep their 69 points and will be heading into the final round, and will also face Multiple Scorgasms in the next game!

Damn you Psy! Looks like I had guessed all the remaining answers, but my 'official' guess would have been Butch Cassidy so I would have lost it for us as well.

Winning the initial face off kind of backfires on you because you aren't the team who plays the final round, the triple round, which pretty much determines the winner making the other rounds pointless. =P

In the future, we should have a face off for each round just like the real game.

Triple money really did swing that for us. I feel we need to raise the awareness of actual decent classic Western movies on this forum. Perhaps a Western themed Mafia when I'm scheduled to host again(which is either next game or the one after I believe)
