For my own part, I started lifting weights in the gym at work (once I discovered where it was and how to get access). I started off with 5lb dumbbells, able to do about 5 "girly" pushups. Now I'm almost to the point where I use 12lb dumbbells and can easily do 5 "real" pushups, and then more "girly" ones after that! I couldn't lift my body at all when hanging by the arms, but I can lift myself about an inch or so now. All this while just working out 15 minutes ~three times a week (the other days on my breaks, I play DDR on the arcade machine in the lobby for cardio)
