The only time I've intentionally drank wine (excluding sake and New Years' champagne) was trying gin and dubonnet because it's supposedly Her Majesty's favourite libation.

For those not in the know, dubonnet is a type of port (red wine) supposedly flavoured with quinine to be (pun intended) sovereign against scurvy. From my experience, I believe it to be additionally flavoured with skunk menses.

Screw you man. For $10, a bottle of wine will turn me into King Slopopotamus, and being able to get drunk on 10 dollars worth of booze is a big deal in Australia.

Wine is 15% Real booze is 40%. Newfoundland Screech is 90%.

If getting troutfaced is all you care about, drink screech. That's a rubbish way to drink, though.

wine is 15 dollars, real booze is 50, so sometimes that is the only way to drink.

Also, I've had 70 dollar bottles of wine which tasted better than any liquor I've drank, so you can't pretend like wine is a sub par product. You just haven't had decent wine.

Dubonnet is also posh enough for Her Majesty the Queen and I've had that.

$50 for a bottle of wine is robbery. Leave Australia at once.
