    I know it is a necessary purchase but I absolutely hate buying it! Toilet paper! That is money you literally wipe your ass with!

    I bought every issue of Super Play (independent SNES magazine) from the 90's recenty when I had the need for a massive nostalgia fix. Some of the later, rarer issues I shelled out over £40 (about $65) each.

    I don't regret it either. Some of the later ones had brilliant articles previewing FFVII for the N64.

    It was definitely an extravagance though... I clearly didn't need to spend over £300 on some old magazines.
