Final Fantasy 8 Discussions on eyesoff is dead or not?

Hi I am an old member of eyesonff.
I know i am not suppose to make this kind of thread here but i just want to say it to everyone here in eyesonff.
I think the discussions about ff8 on eyesoff is not like it used to be.
In the past there's a lot of arguments and debates going on here.
The old members (Future Esthar,Sir Bahamut,Ryushikaze,etc) is not coming here anymore.They might have graduated from ff8 discussions.(I hope they come back here to talk about ff8 theories again)
But i think the new generation of ff8 players should discuss theories of ff8 with their original ideas.
To come up with a better understanding of the story and theories.
Their thoughts and arguments will become valuable in the future.
Or we can just resurrect/link old threads to discuss their theories(past theories).

Comparing the rest of us to Future Esthar isn't really fair.

The FFVIII dection isn't really dead. There's a couple of members who drop by regularly, so I wouldn't say that it is completely abandoned. But yes, GC draws in a lot of people, and a lot of us just don't have the creativity (or stamina) of someone like FE or the likes.

They mostly died out because all the arguments and theories boiled down to:

A. Here's my bizarre theory that requires detailed analysis of each frame of the CG animation to see the vague signs that prove my theory is true.
B. But this and that in the game contradict it.
A. VIII was never meant to have one definitive interpretation. My theory is sound.
B. The game never implies anything you said in the dialogue. You're theory is Fan Wank.
A. The game doesn't imply it couldn't have gone that way. My theory is sound and what they meant.
B. That's a lousy argument.
A. It's the one that allows me to be right.

I still love FF8, despite it being in my opinion the weakest of the three PS1 games, and will gladly talk to you about 8 any time, day or night.

Future Esthar also came up with so many ludicrous ideas which always lead to threads being closed because he couldn't accept the crtitcism from people with sanity and realising that something that appeared for 0.00538seconds in an FMV did not outright prove his outlandish theory that Squall = Connor Macleod, or whatever other idea had popped up this time.

But, as a constructive point, a lot of activity has disappeared from every forum bar the General stuff these days. Sure, it's fun to talk about them and stuff, but coming up with wild theories and creating baseless debates is one thing that has driven most people away from this forum.

So Squall and Ash both had dreams that were entire series? Then this must empirically conclude that S=A!?
