Oh dear.

can you hear me in the void?
I've nearly beaten a run of this game in which I never once had a single magic spell in my inventory. Relying on Auto Haste and Str+60% wasn't all that bad as long as I Carded every enemy and kept my level down. I'm at Ultimecia's castle now and since I currently cannot be arsed with the last few marks in FF12 I think that's what I'm gonna do next. Who ever said drawing magic was remotely necessary? :P
And after this I'm gonna take a swing at a No-J game. How hard could that be, really?

depends on what sort of no junction game it is
no stat junction, no stat or command junction, or nothing at all?
No command junction just sounds boring to me, even if i would be able to do it

I can't imagine FFVIII being fun without any junctioning. Seeking out magic/items to junction/RF was one of the only reasons the game was fun for me.
But I love drawing magic!
I like Kung-Fu.
I know that an outright lack of junctioning of any kind (Attack command and Limit Breaks only, plus the odd little things like Rinoa's auto-Limits, or having a Phoenix Pinion in the inventory and so on) isn't impossible to beat. I forget the name of the EoFF user but he uploaded it all to YouTube as gonomodevil.
It DOES seem like an annoying way to play, though. At least with every other severe limitations challenge in the other games you still had the item command.
What I find funny is when people complain about drawing magic from enemies being too tedious, then they go on to complain about the game being too easy. Well gee I wonder how to solve that problem.
Is this because of the Spoony review where he moans and complains how dreadful FF8 is because of the drawing system and how it makes you draw 100 magics of useless magic ?
Yeah in that case if you do it like that, then you don't know how to play FF8. All you have to do is just draw the magic that you want and then just hold down the buttons to flee from battle. That's it. You have the 5 fire spells you want and you didn't level up.
All you need is the right spells and monster cards to junction to your strength magic etc and you should be fine.
The characters and story however is something that you either love or loathe. I however love Zell, Rinoa, Selphie and Squall and the romantic story and being able to know Squall's thoughts; it felt deep and passionate.
