Hey guys, Pike here. Did you know that I invented this category? I know, fancy, huh? I feel all e-famous and such.

Unlike the Best Developer/Editor/Tech Admin award, this category is open to anyone who consistently makes newsworthy threads that can then be promoted to the front site. It's also open to people who perhaps used to be official EoFF Editors but aren't anymore. I thought it would be important to recognize the members who want to make the front page a better and more exciting place for the denizens of the internet. Besides, who else wants to do it? I mean, really, does anyone even look at the front page besides Loony BoB?

What really sets a newswriter apart, aside from their ability to pounce on news as it's released, is their enthusiasm and ability to make everything exciting. I don't know if you've looked at the front page lately, but here's the gist of what's going on:

You'd buy it, wouldn't you? Of course you would. You know you want to see who gets the materia in Cloud and Sephy's impending custody battle. The newswriters know you want to know, too, and that's why they work so damn hard. So let's give 'em a hand and let them know that we appreciate all their hard work!
