Sony buying streaming game service Gaikai for $380 million, to establish 'new cloud service' | Joystiq

Yeah, the online cloud-streaming service. One of the innovators of what was to be "The Death of Consoles" just got bought by a console manufacturer. Some are debating whether Sony is doing this more for its TV's, or even just to take it off the market, but I think it's fairly obvious that this will change the way we look at the next PlayStation, and potentially the ones that are already out.
